Strayer University Master of Education

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program is designed to give K-12 teachers, training and development professionals, and human resource staff, the knowledge and skills to pursue or advance their careers in education, training, human resources, career development, instructional technology, or trade and education association management.

The M.Ed. program of study includes courses covering functional areas and critical knowledge in education as well as courses incorporating business skills and information technology tools.

Upon completing the program, graduates will be able to apply key concepts and techniques to education problems and issues.

Undergraduate prerequisites may be required for entry into the graduate program; students who have not earned degrees from appropriate fields of study may be required to take additional coursework as a prerequisite for completing the program.

School administrator licensure is within the purview of each state and completion of the Master of Education degree program may not qualify a candidate for either a school administrator license or advanced subject matter licensure.
